Specials
Both of these prototypes are on special at $20.00 each. They both have flaws. They are completely functional and look good they just aren't up to the standards I like to set for my work.
The one of the left has mismatched beads where the plate is attached to the pedestal. After assembly I decided that I don't really like that. It gives me an idea for a future production model. I won't make another one like this though. One of the knots is missing a chunk but in my view that is just the beauty of wood. I like the small imperfections that make hand made wood items beautiful.
The one on the right and below is precisely production dimensions. I did hit the screws when bowling it out. Just nicked them but if you look close below you can see them. The other serious issue is that I drilled through the plate when making my dowel holes. Had that not come out through a natural knot that would have been unforgivable. I would have used it in Cookville to heat the shop. After filling with sawdust glue and shellac it actually looks good so here it is.
